Registering a Death
In Scotland, it is a legal requirement to register a death within eight days. This can be done by a relative or someone with knowledge of the circumstances. Key information needed includes the deceased’s full name, address, date of birth, and the date and place of death, along with their occupation. Upon registration, a death certificate will be issued, which is necessary for funeral arrangements and estate matters. Deciding on Burial or Cremation
