Ishbel MacDonald

The MacDonald family offer a sincere and heartfelt thank you to all relatives and friends who came to pay their respects at Ishbel’s funeral.  The support meant a lot to all.  Special thanks to Rev. Charles Finnie who, at very short notice, summed up Ishbel’s life to a tee in his excellent service.  Grateful thanks to Nikki and the team at John Ross Funeral Services for their kind help and advice throughout.  Doctors and nurses at Badenoch and Strathspey Community Hospital for their care and attention during Ishbel’s last days and hours; Newtonmore Golf Club and Doreen Campbell for catering and refreshments and the flower arrangers for the lovely wreaths.  The collection for the Macmillan Suite totalled £561.53.

The family of the late Neil John Frederick Bremner would like to thank all family and friends for their kind words, lovely cards and flowers.  Also, the Rev. James (Sandy) Gordon

Irene and family would like to thank everybody who paid their respects to Sandy by attending his funeral, making donations to Sight Action and by sending cards and flowers. We are sorry because of time pressures we weren’t able to speak to everybody at the church.  A heartfelt thank you to neighbours who have always been so supportive. Special thanks to the staff at Grant House who looked after Sandy so well and supported us during this time. Thank you to John Ross Funeral Services and specifically Susan for guiding us through all the arrangements in a most professional and empathetic manner.  We would like to mention how grateful we were for the time Rev. Donald Walker spent with us before delivering his service in celebration of Sandy’s life. Thank you to Annie for creating the most beautiful wreaths and understanding exactly what we wanted and finally to John for piping Sandy on his final journey.

Frank Spencer

Julia, Heidi and Andy, Evril and Fraser, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the people who sent flowers, cards, left food on doorsteps and offered to help, following the accident in which Frank passed away and in which Julia was hurt.  Special thanks must go to Grantown medical practice and G.P Dr. Winch, to the amazing passers-by who came to their aid and the exceptional kindness of the ambulance and fire crews; to Graham Atkinson for his very special service, Penny for her music, Tim Walker for a promise kept, Allan for playing the pipes so well, and to Alan and Sharon for Frank’s last Land Rover journey. Nikki Ross and company were superbly professional, and the collection raised for the emergency services totalled £1780.65.

Lena, Kate and Steve would like to express heartfelt thanks to those who attended to Dave at the scene, especially to the Dutch people who administered CPR. Lynn, George, Caroline and families would like to express their heartfelt thanks for all the support and kindness shown at the devastating and sudden loss of George (DUFFY). Thank you to all who came to pay their respects at his Celebration of Life Service, the many people were sentiment to George’s character and his short but full life. Lesley Simpson for her comforting and fitting service, Nikki and her Team at John Ross Funeral Services for their compassion and guidance during this difficult time. £2357.32 was collected and in memory of George (DUFFY) donated to The British Heart Foundation and The Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust.

Ewan, Lindsay, Louise and Penny, would like to thank all who took the time out to pay their respects to Mum, Audrey MacKenzie in the Peregrine Suite of the MacDonald Aviemore Resort. We would also like to highlight the support we received from the team at John Ross Funeral Services, in particular Susan and Fraser who were always available and remained with us for the entire day, Lesley Simpson, the celebrant, who lead the intimate family ceremony so well, and the Lambie’s of the Speyside Centre for their ‘highland’ floral displays. FRASER GRANT

The wife of the late Fraser Grant would like to express her gratitude to all who have helped during an extremely sad time.  Thank you for all the flowers, cards and visitors   To the Speybridge and Tomintoul Road communities for their succour and sustenance. To the staff at the local pharmacy, the community and district nurses, and the Macmillan nurses.
