FUNERAL OF THE LATE WILLIAM ROBERTSON

Dear Frances, Can I just say thank you to yourself, John and all the staff at John Ross Funeral Services for the immaculate, caring and compassionate way that you all handled Willie and his subsequent funeral. You all went far and beyond the call of duty. It all went so smoothly and that made the day so much easier. Things will never be the same again but the next stage is finding the new normal. Thank you once again for everything you all did.  Kindest regards, Maureen.

Following the sad passing of Joan, James, Catriona and Rhona would like to sincerely thank all staff and doctors at the Highland Hospice in Inverness, for the fantastic and compassionate care that Joan received whilst in their care. They would also like to thank the Reverend Richard Baxter for his very kind and compassionate service at the church, to all who attended at the church and at the Crematorium, to Louise Thomson for the beautiful floral tributes, to Ian and staff at the Glenspean Lodge Hotel, RoyBridge, for the lovely funeral teas. Thanks also goes to James’s brother John, and the staff of John Ross Funeral Services for their unfailing attention and compassion at a very difficult time for the family.

Mary, Jamie & Zara, wish to thank most sincerely, everyone for their overwhelming expressions of kindness, phone calls, cards, letters, flowers, and home baking following the  sad loss of a beloved husband and father Jimmy. Special thanks to Viven Roden for the most comforting service, to John Ross Funeral Services for their caring and efficient handling of the arrangements, Elaine for the beautiful floral wreath, to the Carrbridge Hotel for the excellent selection of food provided after the funeral and finally, to all who came from far and near and paid their respects at the Crematorium and donated so generously to the collection which amounted to £1,488.02, for The Haematology Unit Raigmore Hospital, Inverness and The Beatson Hospital, Glasgow.

The amount of people that have commented at how good the undertakers were and so efficient when they were at such a big funeral. Also, the wreath, a few said that they thought Jimmy had just gathered the flowers himself, it’s just what he would have wanted, oh I was so delighted how everything went and the Carrbridge Hotel had an excellent spread. Lots of love, Mary.

Wood (Grantown on Spey) Angela and family would like to thank relatives and friends for all the many cards, kind words and flowers following the sad passing of David. Heartfelt thanks to John Ross and the team and the Reverend Gordon Strang for all their help and support. Also thanks to Grantown Doctors and community nurses for their excellent care, allowing David to be at home in his final weeks. A special thanks to all those who attended the funeral services and for their generous donations which raised £372.67 for Marie Curie and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Can I please pass my thanks to your whole team for their dedication and hard work for my family over this very difficult time. The Crematorium was handled really well, it was both respectful and easy for mum and I to say goodbye. The service at Dellifure was wonderfully led, organised and just what I had in mind, with the bow of the birch overhead and the earth so natural and untouched until you dug dad his wee hole. The whole thing was wonderful. Our Life Celebration was so well run and you made it easy for me to manage the AV and the projection side of the afternoon without having to worry about people, until I actually had to speak. Not so easy… I am so pleased with what you put together, everything you managed for us was great… Thank you, Chris Boyce.

Good morning John, may I first say a huge thank you again for your help with our funeral arrangements and the committal service at the Crematorium in Tuesday. The whole experience was positive from start to finish and was helped hugely by your skilful handling. I know it cannot be easy to gauge the right approach for every occasion and for us, you had it absolutely right – friendly and practical, approachable and realistic, and excellent at the communication, either by email, mobile or in person meetings. You were always available when needed, thank you. Best wishes and kindest regards to you and your team. Yours faithfully, Andy and Alison Kelly.

Dear Mr Ross and staff, on behalf of all our family I would like to thank you, Frances and all your staff for the way in which you conducted the burial of our dear son Bill Wilson. It was such a calm, dignified ceremony in a most beautiful, peaceful place and of course it will be in our minds forever. I would also like to say that we really appreciated the attendance of some of your staff at the after burial celebrations at Loch Morlich. Please pass on our thanks to everyone for their help and assistance with all the arrangements. With many thanks to everyone involved. Yours sincerely, Mary and Pitch Wilson, Bill’s Mum and Dad.

Dear John, Frances and team, as a family, we wanted to say a sincere thank you to you all for your help, guidance and service,  in the days before and for dad’s funeral yesterday.  We were all comforted by how well it all went yesterday. Drummond would have enjoyed it as it was a good day celebrating our dad. Thank you again. The Laidlaw family.
